Baker – Costco – Richmond, BC
Location: Vancouver, BC | Company: Costco Wholesale
Costco’s bakery operation in Richmond, BC is looking for an experienced Baker to join the team at their 9151 Bridgeport Road warehouse location. If you thrive in a high-volume production environment and take pride in delivering consistent, quality baked goods, this role is worth a close look.
This is a hands-on position at the heart of the warehouse bakery — you’ll be working with industrial equipment, following Costco’s proprietary formulas, and producing the breads, pastries, muffins, and other items that members count on every visit. It’s a role that demands precision, reliability, and a solid background in commercial baking.
About the Role: Baker
As a Baker at Costco Richmond, your day revolves around high-volume production. You’ll be measuring and combining large quantities of ingredients, operating power mixers, dough rollers, muffin depositors, and crust machines, and managing the baking process from raw dough through to finished product. You’ll also use a calculator to adjust formulas for alternate yields — so attention to detail and basic math are part of the job.
Beyond production, this role requires a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards. You’ll monitor temperatures, track pull dates, follow health codes, and adhere to safety and security procedures. Teamwork is equally important — you’ll pitch in on other bakery duties and occasionally assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
Benefits and Salary
This position offers a pay rate of $21.00 per hour. Costco is widely recognized for offering one of the stronger compensation and benefits packages in Canadian retail, which typically includes health and dental coverage, employee discounts, and access to company programs — though specific benefits details should be confirmed during the hiring process.
