Senior AI/ML Architect – Amazon Web Services – Canada
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Senior AI/ML Architect to join its Public Sector Professional Services team in Canada. This is a senior consulting role built for ML and GenAI specialists who want to help Canadian public sector clients solve real operational challenges using cutting-edge cloud technology. If you’ve spent years building production-grade machine learning systems and you’re ready to apply that expertise at scale, this role is worth a close look.
You’ll be embedded with a diverse team of technical experts who partner directly with clients — guiding them from initial problem framing all the way through to deploying production-ready ML and GenAI solutions on AWS infrastructure. Expect to work across the full lifecycle of ML projects, using tools like Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon AgentCore, PyTorch, Transformers, and Strands-Agents.
About the Role: Senior AI/ML Architect
As a Senior AI/ML Architect within AWS Professional Services, your primary mandate is to understand the business challenges facing Canadian public sector clients and translate them into concrete, deployable ML and GenAI solutions. You’ll work directly with clients to conduct exploratory data analysis, design model architectures, validate solutions, and oversee deployment — all while ensuring knowledge transfer to the client’s own teams. This is hands-on, high-impact consulting work that spans both technical depth and business strategy.
Collaboration is central to this role. You’ll partner with ML Engineers, Cloud Architects, and Application Developers to bring solutions to production-ready maturity. You’ll also engage with client stakeholders at all levels — from engineers to executives — making the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly an important part of the job. Bilingual fluency in French and English is required for this position.
