WHS Specialist – Amazon – Langley, BC
Location: Vancouver, BC | Company: Amazon
Amazon Canada is on a mission to become Earth’s safest place to work, and they’re looking for a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Specialist to help lead the charge at their Langley, BC fulfilment site. This is a role where your expertise in occupational health and safety directly shapes the day-to-day wellbeing of hundreds of associates — people who rely on a champion like you to keep them safe and supported.
Beyond ticking compliance boxes, this position is about transforming safety culture. If you’re passionate about workplace safety programs and thrive in a fast-moving, high-impact operation, this opportunity is worth your attention.
About the Role: WHS Specialist
As the building’s designated safety champion, you’ll oversee comprehensive safety programs from the ground up — conducting daily safety audits, leading incident investigations, performing risk assessments, and rolling out solutions designed to prevent injuries before they happen. You’ll deliver safety training that actually resonates with frontline associates, driving a proactive culture rather than a reactive one.
This role also demands strong interpersonal skills. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to associates and leadership alike, translating safety data into compelling narratives that influence real behavioural change. The physical demands are real too — you’ll be on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift, working in a variable environment that may include temperature fluctuations, noise, and outdoor loading areas. Flexible availability, including days, nights, and weekends, is required.
Benefits and Salary
The hourly pay range for this WHS Specialist position in Langley, BC is $31.10 to $40.38 CAD per hour. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location.
