About the Role: Material Handler

As a Material Handler at DHL in Lethbridge, your day-to-day will centre on keeping the warehouse running smoothly and accurately. This full-time position pays $22.75 per hour. Responsibilities

Working on the night shift, Material Handlers at DHL are the backbone of the warehouse operation. From picking and packing parts to operating powered equipment and conducting inventory checks, every task contributes directly to the accuracy and efficiency of the aircraft assembly supply chain.

  • Pick, pack, and receive Engine Kits and Bulk Parts Kits for the aircraft assembly process
  • Replenish and validate parts used in the aircraft assembly process to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Deliver carts to the engine assembly line in a timely and accurate manner
  • Operate RF equipment during receiving and picking processes
  • Operate powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product
  • Inspect inbound and outbound products to ensure they are free of damage, correctly coded, and match customer requirements
  • Compare quantity, quality, labelling, and address against customer orders to verify outgoing shipments are complete and correct
  • Verify and report discrepancies such as non-available products and OS&D
  • Maintain equipment and facility in a clean, neat, and orderly condition, including daily equipment inspections
  • Assist in physical inventories as required
  • Follow company Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a controlled goods warehouse environment on a consistent night schedule. Candidates must meet the citizenship requirements and be comfortable working with powered industrial equipment in a structured, safety-first setting.

  • Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory — work visas and student visas do not qualify, as this role involves Government of Canada controlled goods
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Forklift certificate or successful completion of a forklift training program required within the first 30 days of employment
  • Six months of warehouse experience is preferred
  • Six months of forklift operation experience is preferred
  • Ability to physically load product onto equipment, pallets, or totes for more than 20% of a given shift
  • Strong attention to detail when verifying product codes, quantities, and customer order requirements
