Amazon’s World-Wide Fulfillment By Amazon (WW FBA) organization is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD) product, engineering, and program leadership team in Vancouver, BC. This is a high-visibility finance role sitting at the intersection of operations, technology, and strategic decision-making within one of Amazon’s most critical seller-experience functions.

The role is built for someone who can move comfortably through ambiguous situations, translate complex data into clear financial narratives, and serve as a trusted partner to both technical and business teams. You’ll contribute directly to key organizational mechanisms like weekly and quarterly business reviews, annual operating plans, and 3-year vision plans, while helping AWD leadership make smarter decisions around investment, cost, and growth.

About the Role: Senior Financial Analyst, SPS Finance

As a Senior Financial Analyst embedded within the WW FBA Product & Tech Finance team, you’ll provide financial partnership to AWD’s product and tech leadership. Your work will span financial reporting, end-to-end financial planning (OP1/OP2), forecasting, and month-end close processes—ensuring accuracy and timeliness across AWD’s P&L. You’ll leverage data to surface actionable insights that inform product roadmap discussions, policy decisions, and resource allocation.

Collaboration is central to this position. You’ll work alongside cross-functional partners in Operations Finance, Accounting, and FBA business teams to align on financial treatment, reserves, and cost allocation. You’ll also prioritize controllership, identifying and escalating data integrity issues and reinforcing financial controls that mitigate risk. Clear, concise communication—both written and verbal—will be essential as you adapt your style across audiences from technical teams to senior leadership.

Benefits and Salary

The base salary range for this position is $66,000 to $110,100 CAD annually, with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. As a total compensation company, Amazon’s package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Responsibilities

This role covers a broad range of financial responsibilities that connect day-to-day analytical work to long-range strategic planning. You’ll serve as a finance partner to AWD’s product and tech leadership, supporting everything from business reviews to investment decisions, while maintaining rigorous standards around data integrity and controllership.

• Support AWD’s product and tech leadership as a finance partner, contributing financial analysis and insights to product roadmap discussions, policy decisions, and investment prioritization
• Own and maintain financial reporting for the AWD business area, validating data integrity and leveraging data to surface insights and deliver actionable analysis to business leaders
• Support end-to-end financial planning (OP1/OP2), forecasting, and month-end close processes for AWD’s P&L, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
• Prioritize controllership by identifying and escalating complex data integrity issues and supporting the strengthening of controls to mitigate financial risk
• Help educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs, exercising sound judgment in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure
• Support the financial evaluation of new product launches, geographic expansion, and policy changes, developing insightful reporting that drives performance improvement and cost reduction
• Contribute to WBR/MBR/QBR financial narratives for senior leadership, translating operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Operations Finance, Accounting, and FBA business teams to support alignment on financial treatment, reserves, and cost allocation

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical foundation, experience working across cross-functional teams, and the ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly to diverse audiences. • 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• 3+ years of experience contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy
• 3+ years of experience dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy
• 4+ years of continuous improvement project experience scaling and improving controllership with measurable results (preferred)
• MBA or CPA designation (preferred)
• Knowledge of Tableau and experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, or Cognos (preferred)
• Experience with financial systems including Oracle, SAP, Lawson, or JD Edwards (preferred)
