About the Role: Site Area Facility Manager
As the FM Supervisor for DHL’s Brampton site, you’ll be responsible for directing all aspects of Engineering & Operations, Workplace Services, Asset Management, and Occupancy Optimization. You’ll plan and oversee the maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of associated facilities while ensuring all systems meet corporate guidelines and safety standards.
Beyond technical oversight, this role carries meaningful people leadership responsibilities. You’ll hire, coach, and develop your team, assign work, set timelines, and manage performance in line with organizational policies. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders — both internal and external — is an important part of how this role delivers results.

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of facility operations — from proactive planning and maintenance scheduling to vendor supervision and team development. Your work directly supports DHL’s commitment to maintaining fully operational, safe, and efficient facilities across the site.
- Plan and direct the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of all associated facilities
- Monitor and inspect all equipment to ensure facility systems are fully operational and that preventative maintenance schedules are being followed
- Evaluate completed work and verify conformance to specifications and quality standards
- Improve efficiency of all facility operations related systems, including a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) program
- Initiate and document an internal audit program related to preventive maintenance
- Lead and develop a supporting team — responsible for hiring, coaching, training, assigning work, and managing performance in accordance with organizational policies
- Build relationships with colleagues, customers, and key stakeholders, addressing task-related issues to maintain positive working relationships
Requirements / Skills
DHL is seeking a candidate with a strong technical background in facility management and proven leadership experience. The ideal applicant will bring a blend of hands-on operational knowledge and the communication skills needed to work effectively across teams and with external service providers — including bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent technical certifications and relevant experience
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant FM/PM (Facility Management / Project Management) experience in an industrial or automated environment
- Building Management Systems (BMS): Demonstrated experience operating and managing a BMS
- Safety & Environmental Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of safety and environmental standards in an industrial/automated setting, including high voltage (up to 600V) and snow removal processes
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Most Effective Technology (MET), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), preventative maintenance programs, waste and recycling protocols, and fabrication tooling
- MS Office Proficiency: Working proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Bilingual Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and French
- Asset: Prior experience with inventory control, purchasing, and airport ramp operational movement is considered an asset
