About the Role: Deli Bakery Team Associate
As a Deli Bakery Team Associate, you’ll handle food preparation across two departments. In the deli, that means taking orders, preparing hot food items, cooking rotisserie chicken, and filling prepared side dishes for the display case. In the bakery, you’ll follow thawing and baking guidelines to produce bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls to standard, covering both quality and visual presentation.
Alongside food prep, you’ll keep both departments properly zoned: shelves, tables, and bunkers organized with product in the right locations. Cold chain compliance is a firm part of the job, covering thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling procedures, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates. You’ll also handle ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labels following Walmart’s standard procedures.

Responsibilities

- Bake and thaw bakery merchandise (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls) accurately following guidelines to meet quality and visual appearance standards
