Job Summary & Tips for Applying

AI-generated summary and tips to help you highlight your strengths effectively.

Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Produce Stocker role at Walmart Canada in Winnipeg is a permanent hourly position starting at $16.85/hour, covering mornings through nights including weekends and holidays. The posting has no formal education or experience requirements, so a resume should lead with any hands-on experience in stocking, food safety compliance, or produce handling, tied directly to the department organization and freshness-rotation duties the role describes.

Resume & Application Tips: Since the posting names food safety and cold chain procedures (temperature checks, expiration date compliance, proper food handling) as a distinct duty, any prior experience with food safety in a grocery, restaurant, or retail setting belongs near the top of your resume. If you’ve worked in produce or a perishables department, note the volume of product you handled or the number of SKUs you managed, for example: “Rotated and restocked an average of 300 produce items per shift while meeting all freshness and date-check standards.” Spell out any shifts you’ve regularly worked, including nights, weekends, or holidays, since the posting specifically asks for that availability.

Interview Preparation: Come ready with a concrete example of managing a high volume of repetitive physical tasks under time pressure, since the posting calls out fast-paced workload management and completing large volumes of restocking accurately and on time as a potential challenge. Prepare to describe your availability clearly, including whether you can work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Two questions worth asking: what a typical shift looks like in terms of volume, and whether training on cold chain procedures and thermometer use is provided on the job.
