About the Role: Pharmacist

You’ll work collaboratively with the Registered Technician to allocate tasks appropriately and will follow Costco Pharmacy’s policies, systems and procedure standards, including safety and security procedures. Responsibilities

  • Recruit patients for and conduct health and wellness clinics and document interventions where permitted by provincial regulations
  • Adapt, extend, and modify prescriptions and perform specific acts under the delegation or collaboration of a prescriber to the extent permitted by provincial regulations
  • Administer medications by injection where permitted by provincial regulations
  • Conduct full medication reviews including best possible medication histories and medication reconciliation; participate in medication therapy management and do patient follow-up to the extent permitted by provincial regulations
  • Order and communicate laboratory tests to the extent permitted by provincial regulations
  • Act as Pharmacist-In-Charge in the absence of the pharmacy manager, ensuring smooth dispensary operation and supervising pharmacy interns and students
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and keep required certifications in good standing

Requirements / Skills
