Forklift Operator – DHL Supply Chain – Brampton, ON

DHL Supply Chain is looking for a Forklift Operator to join their team in Brampton, Ontario. About the Role: Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator at DHL Supply Chain in Brampton, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of product throughout the warehouse facility. This includes loading, unloading, moving, stacking, and counting product using powered equipment for the majority of your shift. You’ll also check inbound and outbound products to verify they’re free of damage, confirm code dates are recorded accurately, and ensure everything matches customer requirements.

Beyond operating equipment, this role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, keeping thorough records, and upholding all OSHA and MSDS safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-moving distribution environment. This position also includes a Back-up Group Lead component, meaning strong communication and leadership skills are an asset.

Benefits and Salary

This position pays $23.25 per hour plus a $1.25/hour shift premium, bringing your effective rate to $24.50 per hour. Full-time associates are also eligible for monthly performance bonuses. Responsibilities

Working the overnight shift at DHL’s Brampton facility, your day-to-day duties centre on keeping product moving safely, accurately, and efficiently. From operating powered equipment to maintaining inventory records, every task plays a key role in keeping the supply chain on track.

• Operate powered equipment including forklifts, clamp trucks, Dock Stockers, and Reach Trucks for approximately 80% of your shift to load, unload, move, and stage product
• Case-pick by hand up to 50 lbs, making up approximately 80% of daily activity
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the correct number and types of product are loaded accurately
• Verify load accuracy by checking count, stability, and product condition; report any variances as required
• Inspect inbound and outbound product to confirm it is free of damage or infestation, and that product code dates are correctly recorded
• Maintain inventory records and reports to support overall accuracy across the facility
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards to maintain a safe working environment
• Perform daily equipment inspections and change batteries or LP tanks as needed
• Assist with physical inventories and keep the facility’s equipment and materials neat and orderly

Requirements / Skills

DHL Supply Chain is looking for someone with hands-on warehouse and forklift experience who takes safety seriously and can work independently during overnight hours. The right candidate will be reliable, physically capable, and comfortable with the pace of a busy distribution centre.

• Forklift operator certificate or successful completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment
• Six months of forklift operation experience, with stand-up forklift, Push Pull, or Reach Truck experience considered an asset
• Six months of warehouse experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to case-pick by hand up to 50 lbs for the majority of the shift
• Attention to detail when checking product, verifying loads, and maintaining records
