Job Summary & Tips for Applying

AI-generated summary and tips to help you highlight your strengths effectively.

Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Food Service Supervisor position at Tim Hortons (Eagle Ridge) in Fort McMurray is a permanent, full-time role at $18.30–$19.30/hour with health, dental and disability benefits. Candidates should put their staff supervision experience and food safety and sanitation knowledge front and centre on their resume, since those directly match the core duties of coordinating staff and maintaining quality control standards.

Resume & Application Tips: The posting asks for 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, so make sure your resume clearly shows the dates and nature of any supervisory or team-lead food service work you’ve done. If you’ve handled scheduling, stock records or training in a previous role, spell those out using the posting’s own terms: establishing work schedules, maintaining records of stock and wastage, training staff in sanitation and safety procedures. A line like “Supervised a team of 6 food prep staff across morning and evening shifts” gives a concrete picture of scale and fits this kind of role well.

Interview Preparation: Be ready to walk through a real example of how you handled a customer complaint or concern, since the posting lists that as a direct duty. You should also be able to describe how you’ve applied quality control standards in a food service setting. The posting lists mornings, days, evenings and weekends as possible shifts across 30 hours per week, so come prepared to discuss which of those you’re available for. A reasonable question to ask is how the 30 hours are typically distributed across the week.
