About the Role: Casual Courier Driver

As a Casual Courier Driver with DHL Express in Mount Hope, your day will involve driving a van to complete assigned deliveries and pickups, scanning and processing freight according to established security policies, and sorting inbound material accurately against tight deadlines. You’ll be the face of DHL when interacting with customers, so a professional attitude and strong communication skills are essential.

Beyond driving, this role includes warehouse duties such as moving freight, assisting the Tracing Department with warehouse checks, and participating in keeping the workspace organized and safe. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll split your time between courier driving and warehouse support tasks, keeping DHL’s operations running smoothly in Mount Hope. Every delivery completed on time and every parcel accurately sorted contributes directly to the company’s global reputation for reliability.

• Drive a van to complete assigned deliveries and pickups throughout your shift
• Lift and carry parcels weighing up to 70 lbs throughout the shift
• Scan and process freight according to agreed procedures and Security Policies
• Sort and process inbound material accurately and by established deadlines
• Move freight within the warehouse area as required
• Assist the Tracing Department with thorough warehouse checks for missorts and on-hands
• Interact with customers professionally, both in person and over the phone
• Participate in warehouse organization and clean-up to maintain a safe work environment
• Perform accurate reporting and meet all security requirements

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for a dependable, physically capable individual with a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a warehouse setting, works well under pressure, and brings strong interpersonal skills to every customer interaction.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Valid Class G (Class 5) driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• General knowledge of warehouse functions and operations
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills — you’ll collaborate daily with colleagues and customers
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure within tight time constraints
• Physical fitness — able to handle bulky, heavy, and awkward shipments and stand for extended periods
• Minimum one year of warehouse or customer service experience is considered an asset
• Familiarity with First Choice Programs and Global SOP is an asset
