Job Summary & Tips for Applying
Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Bakery InStore Clerk (Part-Time, Day) position at Loblaws on Dupont St in Toronto pays $17.95–$18.45 per hour and requires no previous experience. A candidate should put availability for days, evenings and weekends near the top of their resume, since schedule flexibility is explicitly asked for, and should note any experience stocking shelves or maintaining product displays, as those are the core duties.
Resume & Application Tips: Frame any retail, grocery or food-service experience around the tasks this posting names: stocking shelves, maintaining displays and responding to customer questions. If you’ve worked a cash register, sorted inventory or set up in-store promotions, say so in plain terms. Because the role involves lifting up to 50 lbs and staying on your feet for a full shift, a short line confirming you meet those physical requirements saves the screener a question. A concrete example on your resume, such as restocking a full aisle within a set time window, gives the same kind of specificity.
Interview Preparation: Be ready to give a real example of a time you helped a customer find something or solved a problem on the floor, since responding to customer needs is a named duty. You’ll also want a clear answer on which shifts you can cover, including evenings and weekends, as flexible availability is a stated requirement. Worth asking: what a typical day-shift schedule looks like week to week, and whether training for the bakery department specifically is provided before your first solo shift.
