About the Role: Inventory Control Coordinator

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for verifying and reconciling inventories across the customer, their suppliers, and the company itself. You’ll complete physical inventories, compile and analyse reports, and serve as the key liaison between customer support, suppliers, and customer management when inventory issues arise. Day-to-day work involves maintaining accurate inventory records in SAP, processing adjustments, auditing transactions, coordinating material relocations, and resolving receiving and shipping discrepancies.

Beyond the day-to-day tasks, this role requires the ability to safely operate all categories of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts. You’ll work collaboratively within a team while also exercising independent judgement when investigating inventory shrinkage and monitoring in-transit data for finance department reporting.

Responsibilities

As an Inventory Control Coordinator at DHL Supply Chain, your day-to-day work centres on maintaining the integrity of inventory data across multiple systems and stakeholders. Accuracy, analytical thinking, and clear communication are essential to keeping warehouse operations on track and customer expectations met.

  • Reconcile and enter data into the customer’s system of record and the Warehouse Management (WM) System accurately and on time
  • Analyse data and transactions using Excel spreadsheets to perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies
  • Monitor and key data for several in-transit buckets within SAP to support finance department reporting
  • Compile and maintain cycle count data for management reports submitted to the customer
  • Monitor failed transactions and physically reconcile any discrepancies identified
  • Coordinate between customer support, suppliers, and the customer to resolve inventory issues effectively
  • Investigate inventory shrinkage and report findings to the departmental manager
  • Safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts, as required

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in warehouse operations and inventory control, with hands-on experience using SAP and barcode systems. DHL values team players who are detail-oriented, proactive in resolving issues, and comfortable working in a structured yet fast-moving environment.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1–3 years of warehousing experience, preferably with a barcode system
  • Cycle count and inventory control experience is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory systems and/or Topex is an asset
  • Working knowledge of SAP inventory is required
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and all categories of MHE
