Senior Solutions Architect, Healthcare Canada Public Sector (Prairies) – Amazon – Calgary, AB
Location: Calgary, AB | Company: Amazon
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join their Healthcare Canada Public Sector team, serving customers across the Canadian Prairies — based in Calgary, Alberta. This is a senior-level technical role at the forefront of a major technology shift in how Canadian healthcare organizations adopt and leverage cloud computing.
In this role, you’ll own deep technical engagements with healthcare customers, designing resilient, secure, and high-performing AWS solutions. You’ll move comfortably between presenting complex software architectures to engineers and translating those concepts for non-technical executives — making your communication skills just as important as your technical depth.
About the Role: Senior Solutions Architect
As a Senior Solutions Architect at AWS, you’ll be the technical authority for healthcare customers in the Prairies region. You’ll author whitepapers and reference architectures, deliver technical webinars, speak at public events, and even file patents for future AWS features or products. Your work will directly shape how Canadian healthcare organizations build, migrate, and scale their technology on the cloud.
This position sits within a team that is deeply versed in Canadian Public Sector mandates, security frameworks, and compliance requirements. Team members are hands-on, intellectually curious, and active contributors to the broader AWS Solutions Architecture community. You’ll work closely with account managers, business developers, consulting partners, and systems integrators to drive customer success at every stage of their cloud journey.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary for this position in Calgary, AB ranges from $146,000 to $211,600 CAD annually. As a total compensation package, Amazon may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being.
