Network Infrastructure Technician – Amazon – Calgary, AB
Location: Calgary, AB | Company: Amazon
Amazon Web Services is expanding its infrastructure operations across Alberta, and they’re looking for driven Network Infrastructure Technicians to join the Global Network Deploy team based in the Calgary (YYC) area. This is a hands-on technical role at the heart of the cloud — the people who keep AWS running around the clock.
Working within AWS Infrastructure Services, you’ll be deployed across multiple data centre locations in Alberta, supporting large-scale network builds and day-to-day operations. You’ll collaborate closely with internal AWS teams and external vendors, troubleshoot complex network issues, and help scale next-generation infrastructure as Amazon continues to grow its global footprint.
About the Role: Network Infrastructure Technician
This position is built for someone who thrives with minimal supervision and brings strong technical depth in enterprise-class networking. You’ll be responsible for scaling support across multiple AWS data centre locations, managing capacity, and executing projects as directed by Technical Program Managers. Your work directly enables AWS customers to access the cloud services they depend on.
Beyond day-to-day support, you’re expected to contribute to process improvement — building or enhancing tools, refining operational procedures, and developing best practices for the team. Collaboration is central to this role, and strong written and verbal communication skills are a must for working across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary for this role ranges from $36.05 to $46.53 CAD per hour. Amazon offers a comprehensive total compensation package that may include signing bonuses and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and work location. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life, and LTD), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional wellness resources.
