About the Role: Post Office Assistant

Responsibilities
Working at a Canada Post retail counter means you’re a critical link between the postal network and the community you serve. Each day brings a mix of customer interactions, mail handling, and administrative tasks that keep the post office running efficiently.
- Sell postal products and services to both the general public and local businesses
- Sort and distribute incoming mail into appropriate classifications accurately and efficiently

Requirements / Skills
Canada Post is looking for a candidate who is community-minded, physically capable, and comfortable working on an on-call basis. Preference will be given to Indigenous Peoples (First Nations, Métis or Inuit) and Persons with disabilities as part of a special measure employment equity initiative. Previous experience in a retail or public-facing role is a strong asset.
- High school diploma or provincial equivalency and/or relevant experience in business administration

- Physical fitness to lift containers up to 50 lbs, push/pull boxes, and stand for extended periods
