As a delivery agent with Canada Post, your day begins at the depot where you’ll sort and prepare the day’s load before heading out on your assigned route. You’ll be driving a Canada Post postal vehicle, delivering mail and packages by both foot and vehicle throughout Corner Brook. Responsibilities

• Sort and prepare the day’s deliveries at the depot each morning before heading out on route

• Work outdoors throughout most of your shift, in all types of weather conditions year-round
• Return to the depot at the end of your route to unload incoming mail and packages for future delivery

Requirements / Skills

Canada Post is looking for dependable, physically capable individuals who are comfortable working independently outdoors. The ideal candidate holds a clean driver’s licence, can handle the physical demands of the role, and is available to be called in on short notice. Previous experience in delivery or customer service is an asset but not required.

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for a minimum of 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
• Physical fitness to lift mail items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including rain, cold, and snow typical of Newfoundland
• On-call availability — flexibility to be called in as needed is essential for this temporary position
• English language proficiency — ability to read, write, and speak English (French also an asset)
• Customer service experience is a plus, as is prior experience in delivery or driving roles
