Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be at the front line of postal service delivery in Tadoussac. The work is varied and fast-paced — every shift may bring different customer needs, from purchasing postage to resolving delivery concerns — making it important to stay adaptable and customer-focused throughout.

• Sell postal products and services to members of the public and the local business community
• Sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications with accuracy
• Provide customers with relevant information, forms, and guidance on postal services
• Address delivery and service difficulties, resolving customer problems thoroughly and quickly

Requirements / Skills

Canada Post is looking for someone who is customer-oriented, physically capable, and comfortable with both retail transactions and basic administrative tasks. The ideal candidate brings flexibility to an on-call schedule and has a background in working with the public in some capacity.

• High school diploma or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
• Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
• Physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time
• Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work
• French language proficiency is essential for this position (French Essential requirement)
