Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members at the warehouse entrance with a smile, eye contact, and a membership card verification
• Track member entry counts using a handheld counter and report half-hourly tallies to the Front End team, recording results on weekly reports
• Conduct hourly safety and security checks throughout the warehouse and perimeter on foot, correcting hazards such as spills, trip hazards, and blocked exits
• Complete inspection forms after each walkthrough and present results to the duty manager; attend warehouse safety meetings
• Monitor warehouse access, discretely observe armored transport pickups and high-value transactions while holding a panic button
• Check bags, backpacks, strollers, and briefcases at the exit and plug in returning electric scooters
• Verify member receipts at the exit, comparing them to merchandise, marking receipts with a highlighter, and thanking members as they leave
• Direct members to product and service locations, assist with loading, and dry off wet carts
• Conduct after-hours perimeter checks from your personal vehicle, monitoring the exit door by 2-way radio and reporting suspicious activity to the duty manager or police if necessary

Requirements / Skills

A valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle are required for the after-hours perimeter security component of this role. No prior experience in the field is necessary — a positive attitude and commitment to member service are what matter most.
