As a part-time warehouse team member, your day-to-day duties will keep the Halifax facility running at peak efficiency. You’ll handle everything from scanning and sorting freight to completing vehicle inspections and assisting with tracing inquiries. Responsibilities

In this warehouse role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of hands-on tasks that keep freight moving efficiently through the facility. Accuracy, speed, and a team-first attitude are essential to getting the job done right every single day.

• Complete assigned deliveries and pickups, or other tasks as directed by your supervisor
• Conduct vehicle inspections — both pre-trip and post-trip — to ensure safety compliance
• Scan freight according to established procedures to maintain accurate tracking records
• Organize and sort all freight to the appropriate routes within required deadlines
• Move freight within the warehouse area as operationally required
• Process inbound material accurately and on time, meeting strict sorting deadlines
• Assist the Tracing Department with thorough warehouse checks for missorts and on-hands
• Perform front counter duties and HIC (Held in Customs) duties as required
• Participate in warehouse clean-up and contribute to maintaining an organized, safe work environment
• Prepare accurate reports and complete other warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for a reliable, physically capable candidate with a solid foundation in warehouse operations. The ideal applicant is comfortable working within tight timeframes, handling heavy parcels, and operating as part of a close-knit logistics team.

• Physical capability to lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs per piece throughout the full shift
• Valid forklift certificate — required for warehouse operations
• High School Diploma or equivalent education
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
• Broad working knowledge of general warehouse functions and procedures
• Experience with DHL operations systems is considered an asset
• Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) as per Transport Canada guidelines
• Ability to meet security requirements, including a criminal background check covering the past 5 years
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage tasks under time pressure
