Member Service Assistant – Costco – Edmonton, AB
Location: Edmonton, AB | Company: Costco Wholesale
Costco’s Edmonton warehouse on 149th Street is looking for a Member Service Assistant to join their front-line team. This role puts you at the heart of the member experience — greeting shoppers, maintaining a safe environment, and keeping warehouse operations running smoothly. If you’re someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with people and takes pride in staying alert and detail-oriented, this could be a great fit.
Day-to-day, you’ll be welcoming members at the entrance, verifying membership cards, conducting warehouse safety and security checks, and reviewing receipts at the exit. The role also involves some security monitoring responsibilities, including observing after-hours activity from your personal vehicle — which means a valid driver’s licence is required.
About the Role: Member Service Assistant
As a Member Service Assistant at Costco Edmonton, your primary focus is delivering a high level of member service while supporting the warehouse’s safety and security protocols. You’ll be the first and last face members see during their visit, making your role central to the overall shopping experience. From counting member entries with a handheld counter to directing shoppers to products and services, your work keeps things organized and welcoming.
Beyond customer interaction, this position carries real safety and security responsibilities. You’ll conduct hourly walkthroughs of the warehouse and perimeter, identify and correct hazards like spills and blocked exits, fill out inspection forms, and report findings to the duty manager. Teamwork and communication with management are essential, particularly during sensitive procedures like armoured transport arrivals.
