Responsibilities

Day to day, the Produce Stocker plays a central role in keeping one of the store’s busiest departments running at full capacity. From maintaining food safety compliance to ensuring shelves are always fully stocked and displays look their best, each task contributes directly to the customer experience.

  • Maintain the produce department in a clean, organised, and neatly zoned condition so it is customer-ready at all times
  • Rotate products regularly and remove expired or low-quality items to ensure freshness and product quality standards are consistently met
  • Verify pricing and signage across all produce, following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, and labelling
  • Follow food safety and cold chain procedures, including temperature checks, thermometer use, proper food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates
  • Stock and downstock merchandise as needed, applying product protection when required and setting modulars including flex modulars and shelf caps
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies to help maintain a safe and clean work environment for both associates and customers
  • Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support consistent store operations
