Responsibilities

The Food Service Assistant role covers a wide variety of tasks across food preparation, customer service, and facility upkeep. Each shift requires attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards that keep the food court running at its best.

  • Prepare hot food items including rolling, shaping, topping, and baking pizzas, steaming hot dogs and buns, and operating deep fryers
  • Ring up sales and handle cash transactions, including making change and following department cash handling procedures and standards
  • Take pizza orders from members at the counter and by phone, then assemble and present completed orders
  • Dispense dessert and drink items such as frozen yogurt, lattes, and smoothies; clean, sanitize, service, and refill dispensing machines
  • Maintain the self-serve pop area, condiment table, and eating area; bus and sanitize tables, sweep and mop floors, and empty trash
  • Clean and sanitize machines, work surfaces, floors, pans, utensils, and counters; take garbage to the trash compactor and operate the compactor
  • Pull ingredients and supplies from the warehouse and stock shelves, cooler, and freezer with large-volume ingredients
  • Comply with health codes including sanitation, temperature monitoring, product rotation, and expiration date checks
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed

Requirements / Skills
