Responsibilities

The Bakery Wrapper role covers a range of hands-on tasks that keep the bakery running smoothly from the prep area right through to the sales floor. Each shift, you’ll be moving between packaging duties, quality checks, and member-facing responsibilities — all of which directly impact the member experience and department standards.

  • Remove and prepare baked goods from baking containers for finishing and packaging
  • Garnish and finish products by drizzling icing or spraying glaze according to Costco’s formulas and department procedures
  • Wrap and package baked goods by hand or using a wrapping machine; assemble pre-cut cardboard boxes as needed
  • Weigh and label all products accurately, culling broken, underweight, or defective goods to maintain quality standards
  • Restock and rotate the bakery sales area, monitoring pull dates and complying with health code requirements
  • Transport product by pushing large wheeled metal racks throughout the bakery area
  • Serve members with prompt, courteous assistance, maintaining current knowledge of bakery items and warehouse locations
  • Maintain cleanliness of the wrapping and sales areas, following all safety and security procedures
  • Assist with additional bakery duties or other warehouse areas as needed

Requirements / Skills
