About the Role: General Merchandise Associate
As a General Merchandise Associate, your primary focus is ensuring the general merchandise area is well-maintained and fully stocked at all times. You’ll be responsible for stocking shelves, completing downstocking, setting modulars, and moving feature merchandise to its correct location — all while keeping the floor clean, safe, and visually appealing for shoppers.
Beyond stocking duties, you’ll play an active role in customer service, greeting shoppers, helping them locate products, and resolving or escalating concerns as needed. You’ll also support Front End coverage when required and communicate with fellow associates to ensure consistent floor coverage throughout every shift. Safety and compliance are built into everything you do, from completing safety sweep logs to making sure displays and fixtures are properly secured.
Benefits and Salary
This position starts at a minimum rate of $18.75 per hour. Responsibilities
Working as a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Sherbrooke means you’re at the centre of store operations. Your responsibilities span customer service, merchandising, stocking, and store safety — keeping things running smoothly so customers always find what they’re looking for.

- Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
- Adapt to a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs
