Material Handler – DHL Supply Chain – Fort Saskatchewan, AB
Location: Calgary, AB | Company: DHL
DHL Supply Chain is bringing on a Material Handler at their Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta facility — a solid opportunity for anyone with hands-on warehouse and equipment experience looking for stable, full-time work with a globally recognized logistics leader. If you’re comfortable behind a forklift and thrive in a structured warehouse environment, this 1st Shift role is worth a close look.
Day-to-day, you’ll be working across the warehouse floor — operating powered material handling equipment including a Forklift, Reach Truck, and Power Pallet-Jack, while managing the flow of inbound and outbound product. This is a hands-on position where accuracy, safety, and efficiency go hand in hand.
About the Role: Material Handler
As a Material Handler with DHL Supply Chain, you’ll be responsible for the accurate movement, stacking, and counting of product throughout the facility. You’ll receive and issue product in the system, conduct put-away and picking tasks, and verify outgoing shipments against customer orders to ensure everything is correct and complete. Working in and around racking systems is a core part of the job, and attention to detail when it comes to product condition, labelling, and quantities is essential.
Beyond moving product, you’ll also be responsible for daily equipment inspections, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and reporting any discrepancies such as OS&D (Over, Short & Damaged) issues. You’ll assist with physical inventories and monitor equipment power sources — including battery or LP tank changes as needed. This is a role where reliability and a safety-first mindset make a real difference.
Benefits and Salary
This position pays $23.50 per hour, with overtime available during Turnaround periods (typically 1–2 times per year). Full-time associates receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, basic life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term disability, and a standard Long-Term Disability option. Optional benefits include additional life and AD&D coverage and critical illness insurance. You’ll also have access to retirement savings plans including a DCPP, RRSP, and TFSA.
