About the Role: Senior Digital Strategy Lead

As a Senior Digital Strategy Lead within AGT, your core focus is identifying and growing customer prospects within the GCS ecosystem. You’ll manage the full sales cycle — from initial outreach and pitch to solution implementation and performance evaluation — while developing quarterly growth plans that align with each client’s business and marketing objectives. Expect to work closely with the internal SMB Account Manager pod, partnering to accelerate business growth across the accounts you support.

Beyond client-facing work, you’ll model best-in-class sales behaviours — including executive-level engagement, effective questioning, and objection handling — and actively contribute to team development by coaching colleagues across the organization. You’ll lead key business reviews, speaking engagements, and executive meetings that strengthen long-term client relationships and contribute to Google’s broader mission of helping businesses grow in the AI era.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll wear many hats — part strategist, part seller, part coach. Your day-to-day work centres on driving measurable growth for a portfolio of SMB clients while helping shape how Google’s advertising solutions are positioned and delivered. The responsibilities span client management, sales execution, and internal team leadership.

  • Manage a portfolio of businesses by understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities, managing risks, and building quarterly plans for achievement
  • Drive customer growth by delivering an outstanding sales experience and achieving clients’ business and marketing objectives
  • Own the full sales cycle including customer outreach, pitches, solution implementation, and performance evaluation
  • Partner with the SMB Account Manager pod to pitch solutions and accelerate business growth across your accounts
  • Coach teammates across the organization to proactively expand skills that cultivate customer growth and contribute to overall team success
  • Model sales behaviours including executive-level engagement, effective questioning, and objection handling
  • Lead and strengthen executive-level relationships through key meetings, business reviews, and speaking engagements

Requirements / Skills

Google is looking for a seasoned sales and account management professional who brings both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to the table. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, understands the digital advertising landscape deeply, and is comfortable influencing stakeholders at the executive level.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or marketing
  • 5 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT — or 3 years with an advanced degree
  • Experience pitching solutions through various channels including telephone, email, and in-person meetings
  • Google Ads and YouTube account management experience, including managing advertising or media campaigns (preferred)
  • Cross-platform media experience across TV, radio, print, sponsorship, and similar formats (preferred)
  • Ability to influence advertisers, agencies, and executive-level stakeholders (preferred)
  • Experience with AI tools to drive efficiencies or improve productivity (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills with the ability to adapt and grow in a changing environment (preferred)
