Responsibilities

Working as a Package Handler at the Barrie FedEx facility means being an essential part of the freight movement process. Every shift, you’ll be contributing directly to on-time deliveries by keeping packages flowing accurately through the facility. Here’s what the role involves on a day-to-day basis:

• Load and unload freight from vehicles and conveyor systems within the facility

Requirements / Skills

• High School Diploma or GED — preferred but not mandatory
• Physical capability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
• Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations — an asset
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training as required
• Availability across multiple shift windows — early morning, afternoons, and evenings; applicants should specify their availability when applying
