About the Role: Collision Center Supervisor

As the Collision Center Supervisor, you’ll serve as the process leader for all shop floor activities — from managing workload and scheduling staff, to defining and improving work standards in collaboration with your technicians. You’ll partner with the site Associate Manager to scale production and meet company targets, all while keeping the facility running smoothly and efficiently.

Beyond operations, this role is fundamentally about people. You’ll coach, develop, and support a team of technicians through regular one-on-one meetings and targeted training coordination. Safety compliance, daily team communication, and resolving both technical and personnel issues are all core parts of the job. The ability to communicate daily in English with staff and clients outside Québec is also required.

Tesla offers a salary range of $84,000 to $126,000 annually for this position, plus cash and stock awards. Responsibilities

The Collision Center Supervisor at Tesla wears many hats — part people leader, part operations manager, part coach. Every day involves balancing the flow of work through the shop, keeping your team aligned on goals, and making sure both quality and safety standards are upheld without compromise.

  • Supervise and coach assigned employees to meet quality and facility operational goals
  • Manage workflow through the facility, maintaining shop records and inventories
  • Define and improve work standards in collaboration with technicians and the broader team
  • Monitor safety compliance to ensure all employees follow regulations and the collision centre’s safety program
  • Schedule staff to meet facility needs, accounting for vacations and absences in line with company policies
  • Select team members and ensure they receive required training; hold regular one-on-one development meetings
  • Coordinate training needs for the team and individuals with training team resources as needed
  • Communicate daily to align all team members on goals and escalate any issues affecting the facility or organisation
  • Partner with the site Associate Manager to scale and grow shop production to meet company targets
  • Resolve technical and personnel issues collaboratively with employees

Requirements / Skills

  • 0–1+ years of leadership experience in a collision centre, refurbishment centre, service centre, or similar operation
  • 5–10+ years of collision technical experience or demonstrated technical aptitude (preferred)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and be accountable for both quality and quantity of output
  • Root cause problem-solving skills — able to lead group workshops and develop quick countermeasures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a solid understanding of repair estimates
  • Bilingual communication ability — the successful candidate must communicate daily primarily in English with staff and clients outside Québec
  • Valid driver’s licence (preferred)
