About the Role: Material Handler

As a Material Handler at DHL Supply Chain, you’ll be responsible for operating powered industrial equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product throughout the facility. You’ll play a key part in making sure both inbound and outbound shipments are accurate, undamaged, and meet customer requirements — from checking product code dates to verifying quantities against customer orders.

Attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness are essential in this role. You’ll be expected to inspect equipment daily, report any discrepancies, and help maintain a neat and orderly facility. Responsibilities

In this hands-on warehouse role, you’ll be actively involved in the full cycle of product movement and shipment verification. From operating forklifts and reach trucks to ensuring outbound orders are packed and labelled correctly, your work keeps the supply chain running smoothly and customers satisfied.

• Operate powered equipment including forklifts and reach trucks to move, stack, and count product throughout the facility
• Pick and put away product for shipment or stock, ensuring the exact number and type of products match customer orders
• Verify outbound shipments by comparing quantity, quality, labelling, and address details against customer requirements
• Load product onto equipment, pallets, or totes, performing physical loading tasks throughout the shift
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as required
• Report discrepancies such as non-available products and OS&D (Over, Short & Damaged) findings
• Inspect all equipment daily and complete daily inspection records
• Assist with physical inventories and help maintain a clean, orderly facility and equipment

Requirements / Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Forklift certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program required within the first 30 days of employment
• Minimum 6 months of forklift and reach truck operation experience, preferred
• Six months of warehouse experience, preferred
• SAP experience is an asset for this role
