About the Role: Material Handler

As a Material Handler at DHL’s Lethbridge facility, your day-to-day work centres on order picking, packing, receiving, and replenishment of aircraft engine and bulk parts kits. You’ll use RF equipment throughout the receiving and picking process and operate powered industrial equipment to move, stack, and count product with accuracy.

This role involves close attention to product quality and compliance. You’ll be verifying inbound and outbound shipments, checking for damage, confirming product codes, and ensuring everything matches customer requirements. Health and safety protocols are a cornerstone of daily operations, and you’ll be expected to uphold them consistently. This full-time role pays $22.75 per hour. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be at the centre of a fast-moving warehouse and distribution operation supporting aircraft assembly. Every task — from picking and packing to delivery and inventory — requires accuracy and consistency, as the parts you handle directly impact production downstream.

  • Pick, pack, and receive engine kits and bulk parts kits with accuracy
  • Replenish and validate parts used in the aircraft assembly process
  • Deliver carts to the engine assembly line on schedule
  • Operate RF equipment during receiving and picking processes
  • Operate powered industrial equipment for moving, stacking, relocating, and counting product
  • Inspect all inbound and outbound shipments for damage, infestation, correct product codes, and customer order accuracy
  • Compare quantity, quality, labelling, and addresses against customer orders to confirm outgoing shipments are complete
  • Monitor and change equipment batteries or LP tanks as required
  • Verify and report discrepancies including non-available products and OS&D issues
  • Assist with physical inventories and maintain the facility and equipment in clean, orderly condition
  • Follow all company Health and Safety policies and procedures

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and can operate safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment. Prior experience in a warehouse or with forklift operation is a strong asset, and the ability to meet the controlled goods eligibility requirement is non-negotiable.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program required within the first 30 days of employment
  • Six months of warehouse experience preferred
  • Six months of forklift operation experience preferred
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident — required due to controlled goods classification (work visas and student visas do not qualify)
  • Ability to physically load product onto equipment, pallets, or totes for more than 20% of the shift
