Inventory Control Supervisor – DHL Supply Chain – Calgary, AB

About the Role: Inventory Control Supervisor

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for guiding non-exempt team members through daily inventory tasks while maintaining the integrity of customer inventory data. This includes overseeing care, custody, and control of all inventory, ensuring accuracy relative to both the floor and customer books, and making proper use of information technology systems to support these objectives.

Beyond the operational side, this role also requires a commitment to workplace safety, compliance, and people development. You’ll be conducting associate performance reviews, supporting individual development plans, and enforcing company policies — all while fostering a respectful, fair, and productive work environment.

Benefits and Salary

Responsibilities

The Inventory Control Supervisor at DHL Supply Chain plays a hands-on leadership role, balancing team coordination with process accountability. Day-to-day, you’ll be keeping inventory accurate, systems running smoothly, and your team supported — all while ensuring the site meets its contractual obligations to clients.

• Monitor and report on customer inventory control accuracy and shrink contractual requirements to site leadership in a timely manner
• Maximize performance of site inventory processes and systems, including care, custody, and control of customer inventory
• Ensure accuracy relative to both the physical floor and the customer’s book inventory
• Oversee proper utilization of information technology systems supporting inventory management
• Provide required documentation to customers, financial statement auditors, or regulatory auditors as needed for compliance
• Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for all associates
• Conduct performance reviews, individual development plans, and succession planning for team members
• Communicate and enforce company policies at appropriate levels across the team
• Ensure associates are properly trained and have access to the tools needed to perform their assigned duties

Requirements / Skills

DHL Supply Chain is looking for someone who brings both technical knowledge and leadership experience to the table. The right candidate understands the nuances of inventory control and is comfortable managing teams, interpreting data, and working within structured logistics environments. Preferred candidates will have formal education combined with substantial hands-on experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience in inventory control, logistics, or a related discipline (required)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of 4+ years in the logistics industry with team supervision experience (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in an inventory or logistics role (required)
• Knowledge of WMS and ERP systems such as JDA, Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, or SAP (required)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to conduct performance reviews, development plans, and succession planning
• Commitment to compliance and ability to provide documentation to auditors and regulatory bodies as required
