About the Role: Glass Technician
As a Glass Technician, you’ll be responsible for the removal, installation, and replacement of vehicle glass components — primarily windshields — using a variety of hand, power, and shop tools. You’ll work closely with experienced technicians on the inspection, repair, and overall servicing of Tesla electric vehicles, stepping in wherever your expertise is needed.
A key part of this position involves ensuring that each vehicle’s Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is properly calibrated and functioning as intended following any glass work. You’ll be expected to manage multiple priorities efficiently, meet deadlines, and uphold Tesla’s high standards for vehicle safety and service quality. Daily communication in English with staff and clients outside of Quebec is also a requirement of this role.
Benefits and Salary
Tesla offers a competitive hourly wage depending on technician level: Service Technician I earns $23.10–$34.65/hour, Service Technician II earns $26.80–$40.19/hour, and Service Technician III earns $31.42–$47.12/hour, plus cash and stock awards. Responsibilities
Day to day, you’ll be doing hands-on technical work with automotive glass systems on Tesla electric vehicles. These responsibilities are central to keeping customers safe and vehicles performing as designed — accuracy and attention to detail matter in every task.
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools required to service automotive glass components
- Perform repairs and replacements of vehicle glass components, including windshields
- Collaborate with experienced technicians on the inspection, repair, and servicing of Tesla electric vehicles as needed
- Calibrate and verify that the vehicle’s Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is operating as intended using computer and calibration software
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and certifications
- Communicate daily in English with staff and clients across Canadian provinces outside of Quebec
Requirements / Skills
