About the Role: Mobile Service Technician

As a Mobile Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing both basic and advanced diagnostic and repair work across Tesla’s full product line. You’ll work out of a company-supplied vehicle, travelling throughout the Montreal region to complete service calls efficiently and professionally. Your work will directly support Tesla’s mission by keeping vehicles in top condition and customers satisfied.

Responsibilities

The Mobile Service Technician role is built around delivering high-quality vehicle service directly at the customer’s location. You’ll carry out a broad range of tasks — from diagnostics and repairs to documentation and team collaboration — all while representing Tesla’s standards of excellence in the field.

  • Execute basic and advanced diagnostic and repair work on all aspects of Tesla’s product line, including high-voltage systems after appropriate training
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively, organize your daily workload, and meet service deadlines under the direction of the Field Service Dispatch Team
  • Document all repairs consistently and concisely, maintaining accurate records for every service call
  • Support fellow Mobile Service Technicians and Tesla Service Centres as needed
  • Provide direct feedback to Tesla’s design and engineering teams to enable continuous improvement of repair procedures and products
  • Inspect and maintain shop and vehicle equipment, requesting replacements when required
  • Clean and detail vehicles as needed to ensure delivery of an exceptional finished product
  • Develop your technical expertise by maintaining an individual development plan with support from your team and management

Requirements / Skills

Tesla is looking for candidates who combine solid technical aptitude with strong customer service skills. The ideal person for this role is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

  • High school diploma or associate degree/certificate, or equivalent professional experience in a related technical field (automotive, aeronautics, electrical, marine, etc.)
  • Automotive Service Technician licence, or a genuine desire to pursue a Technician Apprentice designation through provincial schooling
  • Valid Class 5, G, or G2 driver’s licence for Canada with an acceptable driving record
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting
  • Safety-first attitude demonstrated consistently on the job
  • Bilingual communication ability — the successful candidate must be able to communicate daily primarily in English with staff and clients outside of Quebec, while supporting projects across all Canadian provinces
