Freight Flow Associate – Sam’s Club (Walmart) – Colorado Springs, CO
Sam’s Club is seeking a skilled Freight Flow Associate to join our team. In this role, you will operate forklifts to safely pick up, move, and position merchandise pallets while adhering to company policies and procedures. As a Freight Flow Associate, your responsibilities will include stocking, organizing merchandise and supplies, managing inventory flow, and completing various tasks to maintain a well-functioning facility.
This position requires prior experience with forklift operations and strict adherence to company safety and ethics guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills, working effectively with managers, customers, and business partners to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
About the Role
As a Freight Flow Associate, you will be responsible for moving and positioning merchandise using forklifts, managing inventory flow, and ensuring the facility remains safe and compliant with company policies. Additionally, you will provide excellent member service by assisting with purchasing decisions and resolving member issues.
Your duties will include maintaining the sales floor, organizing displays, processing defective merchandise, and assisting with club pick-up orders. You will collaborate with other team members to ensure products are delivered and displayed accurately and on time, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to move and position merchandise pallets safely and efficiently.
- Stock and organize merchandise from distribution centers, managing inventory flow and ensuring proper documentation.
- Provide member service by assisting with purchases, resolving concerns, and promoting company products.
- Maintain safety by following company guidelines and conducting regular safety sweeps.
- Manage sales floor by organizing displays, maintaining shelf capacities, and following merchandising procedures.
Basic Qualifications
Sam’s Club requires the following qualifications for the Freight Flow Associate role:
- 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
- Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will also possess:
- Customer Service Experience.
- Retail Experience.
- Experience supervising a team.
