Overnight Associate – Walmart – Yellowknife, NT
Location: Edmonton, AB | Company: Walmart
Yellowknife’s Walmart store is looking for a dependable Overnight Associate to join the team at 313 Old Airport Rd. This is a hands-on, physical role that keeps the store running smoothly behind the scenes — so that when customers walk through the doors each morning, the shelves are stocked, labelled, and ready to go.
Working overnight means your shift has a real purpose: you’re the reason the sales floor looks the way it does at opening. From unloading trailers to pulling pallets and stocking merchandise, this role is ideal for someone who likes to stay active, work as part of a team, and take ownership of their tasks in a fast-moving environment.
About the Role: Overnight Associate
As an Overnight Associate at Walmart Yellowknife, your primary focus is on the flow of merchandise from receiving through to the sales floor. You’ll be part of a team that strategically plans and executes overnight duties based on workload and operational requirements. A key differentiator from day or evening fulfillment roles is the stronger emphasis on labelling and backroom bin stocking — ensuring everything is organized and accessible before the store opens.
Safety and cleanliness are non-negotiable in this role. You’ll be expected to follow Walmart’s company policies and procedures, complete safety sweep logs, and ensure that all displays and fixtures remain secure throughout your shift. When needed, you may also assist customers directly, making customer service awareness an important part of the job even on the overnight shift.
Benefits and Salary
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.75 per hour. Walmart Canada also offers a range of benefits to eligible associates, including store discounts, stock options, life insurance, paid time off, deferred profit sharing, EQ Health support, and access to the Live Better U education program. Comprehensive benefits eligibility is based on hours worked and employment status (full-time or part-time).
