Yellowknife’s Walmart store is looking for a dependable Overnight Associate to join the team at 313 Old Airport Rd. This is a hands-on, physical role that keeps the store running smoothly behind the scenes — so that when customers walk through the doors each morning, the shelves are stocked, labelled, and ready to go.

About the Role: Overnight Associate

As an Overnight Associate at Walmart Yellowknife, your primary focus is on the flow of merchandise from receiving through to the sales floor. You’ll be part of a team that strategically plans and executes overnight duties based on workload and operational requirements. A key differentiator from day or evening fulfillment roles is the stronger emphasis on labelling and backroom bin stocking — ensuring everything is organized and accessible before the store opens.

Safety and cleanliness are non-negotiable in this role. You’ll be expected to follow Walmart’s company policies and procedures, complete safety sweep logs, and ensure that all displays and fixtures remain secure throughout your shift. When needed, you may also assist customers directly, making customer service awareness an important part of the job even on the overnight shift.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.75 per hour. Responsibilities

The overnight shift is all about preparation and precision. As an Overnight Associate, you’ll work through a set of interconnected tasks that ensure the store is fully stocked, organized, and safe before doors open to customers. Your ability to manage physical tasks efficiently and work collaboratively with your team will be central to your success in this role.

• Prepare the sales floor for store opening each morning, ensuring all areas are stocked and presentation-ready
• Set, merchandise, and sign features according to Walmart’s store standards
• Unload trailers and complete live unloading of various types of merchandise
• Pull pallets of merchandise to and from the sales floor for overnight processing
• Label merchandise and sales floor locations with a strong emphasis on backroom bin organization and stocking
• Stock the sales floor as assigned and provide customer service when necessary
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to company policies and procedures, including completion of safety sweep logs
• Ensure displays and fixtures are secure at all times throughout the shift
