Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service to members in the major appliances, jewellery, and electronics departments
• Answer member questions and demonstrate product features, helping members make informed purchasing decisions
• Assist members in loading products onto their carts safely
• Stay current on product knowledge by reading industry magazines, product reviews, and testing merchandise firsthand
• Communicate with the Area Manager regarding product quantities, pricing, delivery timelines, and promotions
• Follow merchandising standards — set up, clean, and maintain product displays; align and face product to the front; restock to maintain high floor levels
• Check and approve member returns, create signage, and verify accuracy of product markings
• Participate in merchandise moves, review stocking lists for forklift drivers, and assist with stocking product
• Organize and maintain the security item lock-up, clear debris from the sales floor, and sweep as needed

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate is someone with a genuine interest in consumer electronics and major appliances, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to thrive in a busy warehouse environment. Sales experience is a definite asset, and passing Costco’s internal knowledge test is a firm requirement for this position.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Sales experience will be given preference during the selection process
• Must pass the Costco PC/Electronics knowledge test
• Strong product knowledge in electronics and appliances, or a clear willingness to learn
