If you enjoy hands-on work in a retail food environment and take pride in delivering solid customer service, this role offers a chance to build practical skills across food handling, stock management, and day-to-day deli operations — all within one of Canada’s largest retail chains.

About the Role: Deli Associate

As a Deli Associate, your day revolves around keeping the deli department in top shape. You’ll be preparing and slicing deli meats and cheeses, getting orders ready for customers, cooking rotisserie and fried chicken, and making sure all items in the display area are stocked and properly labelled. Every product on the counter reflects the care you put into your work.

Beyond food prep, you’ll be responsible for cold chain compliance, temperature recording, and following strict protocols around food safety, expiration dates, and product rotation. Keeping the department clean, organized, and free of hazards is part of the job — and so is pitching in to help front-end associates with price checks when needed.
