About the Role: Assistant Team Leader
The Assistant Team Leader plays a key part in the day-to-day management of the store. You’ll assist the management team with store operations, supervise staff activities, and step into manager-on-duty responsibilities when needed — including monitoring breaks, tracking attendance, and overseeing cash management as well as store opening and closing duties.
Beyond operational tasks, this role has a strong people component. You’ll be involved in employee training, contribute to a positive and productive team environment, and uphold Dollarama’s standards for store safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities
The Assistant Team Leader role covers a broad range of daily tasks that keep the store operating at its best. From receiving and stocking merchandise to supporting your team and serving customers, every shift brings a mix of operational and leadership duties that require focus and adaptability.
- Assist the management team in overseeing store operations and staff day-to-day
- Box and unbox daily shipments efficiently to maintain inventory flow
- Stock products on shelves in compliance with Dollarama’s presentation standards
- Deliver strong customer service and resolve customer issues as they arise
- Uphold store safety and cleanliness standards, contributing to a safe environment for staff and customers
- Conduct manager-on-duty tasks, including confirming daily breaks are taken and that attendance is accurately entered
- Perform cash management, store opening, and closing duties as needed
- Participate in the employee training process to support team development
Requirements / Skills
