About the Role: Asset Protection Associate

Flexibility across morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts — including weekends and holidays — is essential to keeping operations running smoothly.
Benefits and Salary
This position offers a minimum hourly rate of $20.35. Responsibilities
The Asset Protection Associate is responsible for maintaining a secure and professional retail environment across all areas of the store. These duties require a combination of observation skills, sound judgement, and the ability to respond calmly and professionally in a variety of situations — from routine patrols to emergency response.
- Conduct daily store patrols to ensure a safe and secure environment, checking that doors, display cases, and security devices are functioning properly
- Investigate incidents involving financial and physical loss, and communicate findings to store management in a clear and timely manner
- Support internal investigations by escalating information to the Market Loss Prevention Manager in accordance with Walmart Canada guidelines
- Lead or assist investigations related to internal and external theft, organized retail crime, and cases assigned by Walmart Canada’s Global Ethics team
- Support emergency procedures including store evacuations and incident response for situations such as fires or other urgent events
- Conduct external apprehensions when required, following company directives and applicable legal standards
- Gather and communicate information from multiple sources, presenting clear findings and relevant perspectives to store leadership
- Assist with general store operations as needed, contributing to the broader team during high-demand periods
