WHS Specialist – Amazon – Delta, BC

Amazon Canada is looking for a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to join their fulfilment operations in Delta, British Columbia. In this role, you’ll be your building’s go-to safety champion, leading daily audits, investigating incidents, delivering safety training, and building relationships at every level of the organization. As a WHS Specialist at Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Delta, BC, you’ll drive comprehensive safety programs through daily audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments. You’ll develop and deliver engaging safety training that resonates with associates on the floor, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety without compromising operational efficiency.

Beyond the technical side, this role is deeply people-focused. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor for associate wellbeing, build strong partnerships across all levels of the organization, and translate safety data into compelling narratives that drive real behavioural change. Teamwork, communication, and cultural leadership are just as important here as regulatory knowledge.

Benefits and Salary

Amazon offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $29.37 to $40.38 CAD for this position in Delta, BC. As part of Amazon’s total compensation approach, the package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments to proactively identify and address hazards

Requirements / Skills

Amazon is looking for candidates with a solid foundation in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and a genuine passion for protecting people at work. The right person for this role is someone who can balance regulatory knowledge with strong interpersonal skills — someone comfortable both on the warehouse floor and in a coaching conversation with leadership.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required as a minimum education level
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910, is required
• Minimum 1 year of EHS experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-relevant field, OR 6 months in a safety-related role within Amazon
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional setting
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in security and personnel-related matters
• Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills are preferred, along with experience in emergency response and current First Aid/CPR certification
