WHS Specialist – Amazon – Brampton, ON
Location: Brampton, ON | Company: Amazon
Amazon Canada is looking for a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Specialist to join their fulfillment operations in Brampton, Ontario. This role sits at the heart of Amazon’s ambitious goal to become the benchmark of safety excellence across every industry it operates in — and the person stepping into this position will play a direct role in making that vision a reality.
As a WHS Specialist, you won’t simply be ticking compliance boxes. You’ll be driving cultural change, building meaningful relationships with frontline associates and leadership, and using data-driven strategies to prevent injuries before they happen. It’s a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who genuinely cares about keeping people safe at work.
About the Role: WHS Specialist
The WHS Specialist is responsible for leading daily safety audits, conducting incident investigations, performing risk assessments, and delivering engaging safety training to associates across the facility. You’ll champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety without sacrificing operational efficiency, and you’ll transform safety data into compelling narratives that drive real behavioural change.
This role also calls for strong interpersonal skills — you’ll serve as a trusted safety advisor and advocate for associate wellbeing, building partnerships across all levels of the organization. From coaching frontline workers to presenting findings to leadership, your ability to communicate clearly and influence positively will be just as important as your technical knowledge of EHS regulations.
Benefits and Salary
Amazon offers a competitive hourly wage of $29.00 to $40.00 CAD per hour for this position in Brampton. As part of Amazon’s total compensation package, additional elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) may also be included. The comprehensive benefits package covers health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, and basic life & AD&D insurance), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and access to additional resources to support health and well-being.
