About the Role: Area Manager II

Benefits and Salary
The base salary range for this Area Manager II position in Brampton, ON is $75,000 to $105,000 CAD annually. As part of Amazon’s total compensation package, additional elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) may be included. Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind your department’s day-to-day operations, balancing people leadership with operational precision. - Lead and motivate a team of up to 80 hourly associates, supporting them through shifts to maintain safety, attendance, quality, and productivity standards
- Manage operational performance across safety, quality, and customer delivery commitments, ensuring orders reach the right location at the right time
- Partner cross-functionally with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop and execute plans that meet business objectives
- Conduct planning sessions and coaching conversations to develop your team’s leadership capabilities and address operational challenges
- Diagnose root causes of performance gaps using advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making
- Facilitate alignment meetings with senior leadership on department-level goals and competing priorities
- Implement scalable process improvements that can impact 200+ associates across multiple workflows
- Perform physical duties including lifting up to 49 lbs, standing and walking for up to 12 hours per shift, climbing stairs, and working in variable-temperature environments
Requirements / Skills

- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience — a solid foundation in leading teams and holding people accountable
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Flexible availability to work varying shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Valid driver’s licence in the province of residence
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen is a strong asset
- Experience managing large teams of 50+ members and working with performance metrics
- Background in relevant industries such as logistics, distribution, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, or hospitality is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment
