About the Role: WHS Specialist
The WHS Specialist serves as the primary safety resource within the fulfilment centre, responsible for implementing and driving comprehensive safety programs. Your work will directly influence whether people go home safe at the end of every shift.
Beyond the technical side, this role carries a significant cultural leadership component. You’ll act as a trusted advocate for associate wellbeing, building strong relationships across all levels of the organization. Whether it’s coaching a frontline associate on proper lifting technique or presenting safety data insights to leadership, your communication and influence skills will be just as important as your technical knowledge. Physical demands are part of the job — expect to be on your feet for up to 12 hours, navigating a dynamic warehouse environment.
Benefits and Salary
This position offers a base salary range of $29.00 to $40.00 CAD per hour, with total compensation potentially including sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate is someone who can operate independently in a fast-paced environment, communicate confidently with both frontline workers and senior leadership, and use data to drive decisions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
- Minimum 1 year in an EHS-related field, OR a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-relevant discipline, OR 6 months performing a safety-related role within Amazon
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional setting
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive workplace situations
- Asset: experience in workers’ compensation case management, emergency response, or holding current First Aid and CPR certification
- Asset: experience leading and managing a team, conducting job hazard analyses, and analyzing accident data
