Sr. Solutions Architect (Agentic WorkSpaces) – Amazon Web Services – Toronto, ON

At the forefront of cloud computing and artificial intelligence, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a bilingual Senior Solutions Architect to join the Agentic WorkSpaces team in Toronto, Ontario. This is a highly specialized role that sits at the intersection of enterprise desktop infrastructure and applied AI—an opportunity to serve as the definitive technical authority for some of Canada’s most complex public sector and enterprise clients.

Operating within the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP), you’ll own end-to-end go-to-market strategy for the Agentic WorkSpaces platform. Your day-to-day work blends deep Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) expertise with advisory-level proficiency in Large Language Model (LLM) deployment and agentic AI—all delivered in both English and French to clients across Canada’s regulated sectors.

About the Role: Senior Solutions Architect, Agentic WorkSpaces

Sixty percent of this role centres on mastery of the Agentic WorkSpaces platform. You’ll architect, deploy, and optimize solutions using Amazon WorkSpaces Personal and Core as well as Amazon WorkSpaces Applications (formerly AppStream 2.0). You’ll lead technical validation engagements, design migrations from platforms like Citrix Apps and Desktops and VMware/Omnissa Horizon, and ensure production readiness across network design, identity federation, image lifecycle management, and cost optimization. The remaining forty percent focuses on applied AI consulting—guiding customers through AI agent configuration, foundation model selection via Amazon Bedrock, prompt engineering, MCP tool integration, and agent-to-agent (A2A) communication patterns.

Canada is a strategic growth market for AWS Agentic WorkSpaces, and this role directly serves federal, provincial, and regulated-sector clients in financial services, healthcare, and the public sector. You’ll build lasting relationships with senior technical stakeholders, create reusable reference architectures, contribute to product roadmaps, and author publications including white papers and technical guides. Travel across Canada is expected at 25%–50% of the time for on-site customer engagements.

Responsibilities

This role carries a dual mandate—deep platform architecture and applied AI advisory. You’ll engage directly with enterprise and public sector clients across Canada, leading technically rigorous sessions while building scalable assets that extend best practices across the AWS Solutions Architect community.

• Lead technical discovery sessions with public sector and enterprise clients to assess existing IT infrastructure, define migration paths, and design production deployment architectures for Amazon WorkSpaces and WorkSpaces Applications
• Design end-to-end Agentic WorkSpaces architectures covering VPC/network topology, Active Directory federation, multi-region resilience, image lifecycle management, and protocol optimization for latency-sensitive workloads
• Lead Technical Validation (TechVal) engagements—defining success criteria, executing structured test plans, and producing go/no-go outcome reports under production-like conditions
• Design VDI platform migrations from Citrix Apps and Desktops and VMware/Omnissa Horizon to Agentic WorkSpaces, including application compatibility assessment and user profile migration
• Ensure production readiness through capacity planning, CloudWatch monitoring configuration, patch management, cost optimization strategies, and development of operational runbooks
• Guide clients through agentic AI capabilities, including AI agent creation, foundation model selection via Amazon Bedrock, prompt configuration, guardrail setup, and MCP tool integration
• Design Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication models enabling multi-agent orchestration across enterprise systems such as IT service management, identity operations, and security automation
• Create and advise on agent evaluation frameworks—defining metrics like task completion rate, hallucination rate, P95 latency, and cost per invocation
• Advise on LLM deployment patterns including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning decision frameworks, knowledge base configuration, and vector database selection
• Author reusable artifacts such as reference architectures, implementation guides, prompt libraries, and data readiness checklists to scale best practices across the SA community
• Provide structured product feedback to the Agentic WorkSpaces and Amazon Bedrock service teams, contributing directly to roadmap prioritization based on real customer implementations
• Deliver knowledge transfer sessions—workshops, immersion days, and bootcamps—in both English and French to transfer operational knowledge to client teams

Requirements / Skills

AWS is seeking a technically exceptional bilingual professional who can operate with authority at the “Level 300” depth on Agentic WorkSpaces while maintaining strong advisory capabilities in applied AI. The ideal candidate brings a combination of enterprise infrastructure experience, cloud architecture credentials, and genuine curiosity for emerging AI technologies.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French at a native or near-native level, required for client engagement across Canada’s regulated sectors including government, financial services, and healthcare
• Deep expertise in VDI and DaaS platforms—Amazon WorkSpaces (Personal, Core), Amazon WorkSpaces Applications, and/or platforms such as Citrix Apps and Desktops or VMware Horizon
• Enterprise network and identity architecture knowledge including VPC design, Active Directory federation, AWS Managed Microsoft AD, and directory services integration
• Applied AI and LLM knowledge including experience with Amazon Bedrock, foundation model selection, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and vector database configuration
• Experience designing and deploying agentic AI systems, including MCP server configurations, agent evaluation frameworks, and multi-agent orchestration patterns
• Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to present complex architectural recommendations to senior technical and executive stakeholders
• Ability and willingness to travel 25%–50% of the time for on-site customer engagements across Canada
