Tire Installer – Costco – Regina, SK

Costco’s Tire Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan is looking for a skilled and motivated Tire Installer to join the team at their 2110 Anaquod Road location.

Day to day, you’ll be working in the install bay performing tire installations, rotations, balancing, and flat repairs, while also engaging with members on the sales floor to help them choose the right tires for their vehicles. It’s a role that blends technical skill with genuine customer service.

About the Role: Tire Installer

As a Tire Installer at Costco Regina, you’ll handle the full cycle of tire centre operations — from greeting members and assessing their needs to driving their vehicles into the bay, completing the install, and returning the keys at the sales desk. You’ll work with equipment like hydraulic hoists, impact guns, mounting machines, and wheel balancers, and follow industry standards including TIA R.I.S.T. and American Lift Institute guidelines.

Safety is a core part of this position. You’ll follow all safety and security procedures throughout every task, including proper torque checks, TPMS sensor resets, and nitrogen fill procedures. In locations where propane services are offered, once provincially certified, you may also assist with propane tank refills following all applicable safety protocols. The role also involves general upkeep of the install and sales areas, keeping everything clean and organised throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

This role covers a wide range of technical and customer-facing tasks throughout the day. From operating heavy shop equipment to processing payments and answering member inquiries, the Tire Installer plays a central part in keeping the Tire Centre running smoothly and members satisfied.

• Install and balance tires on member vehicles using mounting machines, wheel balancers, and impact guns in accordance with TIA R.I.S.T. standards
• Operate hydraulic hoists safely, raising vehicles according to American Lift Institute standards
• Reset and relearn TPMS sensors as required using Costco-supplied reset tools
• Perform flat tire repairs for members following Tire Industry Standards
• Complete 40KM torque checks and alert the manager or lead for the 10-point check and vehicle release authorisation
• Assist members in selecting the right tires using product knowledge and the 5 steps of selling, including providing price quotes by phone, email, and in person
• Process transactions accurately, including payments, refunds for warranty returns, and tire purchase invoicing
• Stock, tag, and organise tires on the sales floor and in steel storage in accordance with the Tire Centre manager’s merchandising plan
• Coordinate special orders and communicate with the Tire Centre manager, buyers, receiving, and inventory teams regarding delivery, pricing, and promotions
• Maintain cleanliness of the install bay and sales area through regular sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping
• Assist with propane refills at applicable locations, following all safety procedures once provincially certified

Requirements / Skills

• Valid driver’s licence is required — you’ll be driving member vehicles in and out of the service bay
• Costco Tire certification test must be passed upon hire
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred
• Previous tire installation or tire sales experience will be given preference during the selection process
• Propane certification (provincial PP0-3 and TDG from PTI 100-11 program) required for locations offering propane services
• Ability to communicate in French (oral and written) is required for candidates applying to Quebec locations
