Responsibilities
The Service Deli Clerk at Costco handles a wide range of food preparation and kitchen maintenance tasks. From slicing vegetables and assembling party trays to operating commercial ovens and cleaning equipment, this role keeps the deli running smoothly and ensures members receive top-quality prepared foods every visit.
- Prepare and cook rotisserie chickens, ribs, and entrees using commercial and rotisserie ovens
- Assemble take-and-bake pizzas, party trays, salads, and meals following Costco formulas and diagrams
- Package, wrap, seal, weigh and label products using an automated wrapping machine
- Stock and rotate the display case to maintain freshness and presentation standards
- Monitor product quality and ensure department consistency standards are consistently met
- Comply with health codes including sanitation practices, temperature monitoring, and pull date management
- Clean and sanitize equipment by disassembling, spraying with cleaning agents, and washing parts in a 3-compartment or power soak sink
- Maintain the deli area through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and emptying drain screens and trash
- Track production needs, complete daily production forms, time and temperature records, and sanitation checklists
- Provide courteous member service and assist in other areas of the department or warehouse as needed
