Responsibilities

The Tire Installer role covers a broad range of tasks across the Tire Centre — from hands-on mechanical work to member service and administrative duties. Working efficiently and safely throughout each shift is key to keeping operations on track and members satisfied.

  • Install and balance tires using mounting machines, wheel balancers, and impact guns in accordance with TIA R.I.S.T. Standards
  • Operate hydraulic hoists safely per American Lift Institute standards when raising member vehicles
  • Reset and relearn TPMS sensors using Costco-supplied tools as required for each vehicle
  • Perform 40KM torque checks and flat tire repairs according to Tire Industry Standards
  • Assist members in selecting tires, answering questions, and making product recommendations using the 5 steps of selling
  • Process transactions accurately — including payments, refunds for warranty returns, and tire purchase/service invoicing
  • Organize and stock tires on the sales floor and in steel storage according to the Tire Centre manager’s merchandising plan
  • Maintain cleanliness of the install bay and sales area through regular sweeping, mopping, and wiping
  • Communicate with the Tire Centre manager, buyers, and receiving regarding special orders, pricing, and delivery status
  • Assist with propane refills at applicable locations once provincial PP0-3 and TDG certifications are obtained

Requirements / Skills
