About the Role: Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant

As an Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant at Costco Montréal, your primary focus is on delivering prompt and courteous member service in the electronics, major appliances, and jewellery sections of the sales floor. You’ll assist members directly — demonstrating merchandise, explaining product features, and helping load items into carts. Staying current on products is part of the job, which means regularly reading industry publications and experimenting with new items to build your knowledge.

Beyond the member-facing side, this role involves maintaining department standards — setting up and cleaning displays, aligning and facing product, stocking shelves, processing member returns, and keeping the security lock-up organized. Responsibilities

• Process member returns by checking and approving returned product
• Create and verify signage accuracy for product marking and pricing
• Participate in merchandise moves and review stocking lists for forklift drivers
• Organize the security item lock-up and keep the sales floor clear of debris

Requirements / Skills

Costco is looking for someone who is comfortable on a busy sales floor, confident when speaking with members, and eager to build genuine product knowledge. Candidates with a background in retail sales or customer service — especially in electronics or appliances — will stand out in the selection process.

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred for this position
• Sales experience is an asset — candidates with prior sales background will be given preference
• Costco PC/Electronics knowledge test must be passed as part of the qualification process
• Bilingualism (French/English) is required for this Montréal location — candidates must be able to communicate in French both orally and in writing
• Member service orientation — a genuine willingness to assist and educate customers on products
